Massachusetts Orchid Society hosts “World of Orchids: Rooted in History” Annual Show and Sale
Event Details
The Massachusetts Orchid Society (MOS) will host its annual exhibition, “World of Orchids: Rooted in History,” from November 6 through November 8, 2026, at the Sons of Italy Hall, 117 Swanton Street Winchester, Massachusetts
Open to the public over three days, the exhibition explores the historical journey and cultural significance of orchids through large-scale floral displays, educational programming, and horticultural sales. Regional and national growers will construct artistic landscapes featuring thousands of blooming orchids, highlighting the botanical diversity that has fascinated collectors for centuries. “World of Orchids” will feature something for every level of enthusiast, from beginner to advanced.
Educational components form a central pillar of the annual event. Daily guided tours led by experienced growers will provide insights into orchid habitats and conservation history. Additionally, scheduled workshops will instruct attendees on home cultivation techniques, proper potting media selection, and ongoing plant maintenance. Specialized commercial vendors from the USA and internationally will be on-site offering blooming plants, growing supplies, and rare species.
Admission is open to the general public. For a complete schedule of daily speakers and event details, visit www.massorchid.org/show.
