Pottery Wheel-Throwing Class for Beginners
Event Details
Clay Lounge is a community pottery studio in the SoWa Art + Design District, sharing the South End’s gallery blocks with artist studios and boutiques, and its single-session wheel class is the neighborhood’s easiest on-ramp to ceramics. No commitment, no experience — you show up, sit down at a wheel, and learn to center, pull, and shape clay over a leisurely couple of hours.
Most beginners walk away having thrown two pieces, and you pick your glaze color before you leave; the studio handles the firing, and your finished pottery is ready for pickup a few weeks later. Classes run regularly on Friday evenings and weekends, which makes this a solid date night or small-group outing. If the wheel gets its hooks in you, the studio’s multi-week series is the natural next step.
