Salsa & Bachata Fridays at Havana Club
Event Details
Every Friday, Havana Club’s big dance hall on Green Street in Central Square turns into one of New England’s largest Latin dance socials. The night opens with beginner and intermediate lessons — no partner or pre-registration required — before the floor gives way to a social that runs deep into the night. The mix leans heavily bachata, with steady doses of salsa and a little merengue to keep the floor honest.
Expect upwards of 300 dancers on a good night, from first-timers counting steps to veterans who make it look effortless. The room enforces a smart-casual dress code and a genuinely welcoming, zero-nonsense culture, so solo dancers can show up without hesitation. It’s 21+, one cover gets you both the lesson and the party, and the Red Line drops you a block away.
