CANCELED: Somerville Nepali Street Food Festival

Canceled (updated Sep 28, 2026): The City of Somerville says the Nepali Street Food Festival “has been canceled for this year.” It had been set for Saturday, September 5; the October 4 date on this listing was an error. Source: somervillema.gov.

Eleven Nepali food vendors serve momos, chaats and traditional curries on the Somerville City Hall lawn. Live cultural music and dance performances run through the afternoon, with a DJ from Nepal carrying the celebration into the evening. The festival is free and organized with the Somerville Office of Immigrant Affairs.
