Gov. Maura Healey called it “crazy nonsense” and “bogus,” and said the state will keep following the existing schedule. Massachusetts has already stepped away from federal guidance and is writing its own recommendations through a regional public health collaborative; the state says vaccines remain available here. Her own view — and she is clear it is an argument, not a finding — is that the city is ready for looser alcohol rules, and that the later events did not bring the problems critics expected. Existing staff would get 90 days to complete it.
