Built in the Federal Style, this house in Boston's West End was designed in 1796 by the well-known architect Charles Bulfinch for Harrison Gray Otis, a Massachusetts politician. It was among the first mansions in Boston's exclusive Beacon Hill neighborhood. The building is a National Historic Landmark and also houses the Historic New England Library and Archives. Those who want to explore Boston, particularly this noted landmark, can take part in digital exhibits offered by Historic New England that include photography, videos, and archival material of Otis House as well as other famous Boston landmarks.
