Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series: All Levels Yoga
Event Details
The City of Boston’s parks department takes fitness on the road each summer, and this all-levels yoga class is a mainstay of its free series, landing in flagship green spaces from Copley Square to Franklin Park along with parks in nearly every neighborhood. Certified instructors lead the sessions, part of a citywide slate that also spans Zumba, line dancing, tai chi, and walking groups.
The yoga itself is a welcoming vinyasa-style practice — breath tied to movement, with restorative poses to close — pitched so that regulars and absolute beginners can share the same lawn comfortably. Everything is free, though the city asks you to register online for the weekly classes, and outdoor sessions can shift with the weather, so check the parks department’s channels before heading out. Bring your own mat and water.
