New England Conservatory opens its student-run, faculty-supervised new music series in Jordan Hall, with works by current NEC composition students performed by their peers. The series was founded in the early 1990s by Lee Hyla and is directed this season by student composers Genie Alvarado and Jack Frederick. Admission is free, though a ticket is required.
