Fields marked with an asterisk are required. Nothing here is published until an editor approves it.

1. The event

What it is called and what will happen.

Five to 90 characters. Say what it is, not a slogan.
At least 50 characters, two to five sentences. We edit for length and house style; the first sentence appears on the card.
2. Category required

Pick one or two. This decides where the event appears and the colour of its card when there is no photo.

3. When

Times are Eastern. Multi-day runs appear on each day they play.

Event type required
Use the arrow keys to switch. The date fields below change with your choice; hidden fields are disabled, not just hidden.
One field, not six dropdowns. Doors open? Put it in the description.
Leave blank if the organizer has not set one; the page then shows no end time.
4. Where

Venue first, then the street address.

Start typing; venues we already list are suggested.
5. Tickets and price

The listing’s “Get tickets” button goes straight to your link. We never sell tickets or add fees.

Admission required
Added to the description as an “Admission” line so the editor can set the Free tag or the price on the card.
6. Photo required

One landscape photo you have the right to publish, JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, at least 200 px on each side, under 8 MB.

7. About you

Not published. We only use this to confirm details or tell you the listing is live.

By sending you agree the details are accurate and free to publish. Privacy
How submissions work: every listing is read by a person before it goes live; we edit for length and style, add the neighborhood and map link, and may decline events outside Greater Boston or without a public date, place and link. Your name and email are never published. Questions: events desk.
