Friday clouds over at 62 with a 30 percent chance of showers after 8am, rising to 60 percent overnight, and then the weekend turns: Saturday and Sunday both carry a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with highs near 61 and 62 and a north wind around 20 to 23 mph, gusting as high as 38 on Saturday. | Sports “What I’m hearing is the weather doesn’t look good,” manager Chad Tracy said Tuesday, and conversations between the front offices and MLB have started. Boston, already in the playoffs, would rather not play makeup games Monday, its day off before a possible Wild Card opener against the Yankees; Chicago still needs the games for its seeding. Maura Healey said Tuesday she will ask lawmakers, through a supplemental budget, to suspend the state gas tax for two months, days after her Republican opponent, Mike Minogue, called for suspending it until prices stabilize. Healey blamed the war with Iran for gas prices she said are up 50 percent; the details of her plan were not available after her press conference. Read more → | Wells Fargo, which lent $470 million when Rockpoint Group bought the 32-story tower a block from South Station in 2019, has scheduled a foreclosure auction for Oct. 20 at 2pm at the property. At about 1.3 million square feet, it is the largest such auction in over a decade, Banker & Tradesman reports, eclipsing last year’s foreclosure of One Lincoln.
