A London steakhouse has opened on the Fort Point Channel, and a campus taqueria has closed. Then the shopping half stays by the water, in the Seaport. Opening · Mission Hill Namu Distilling Company, 89 Heath Street. Married co-founders Will Blessing and Josh Moss met in graduate school and once planned to be professors. They make soju the traditional way, from fermented rice, plus a rice-based gin with New England and Korean botanicals, and pour both in a big, airy cocktail bar under about a hundred paper lanterns, with Korean drinking snacks such as tteokbokki and seasoned cucumbers. One thing to know before you go: Boston’s distillery licensing means they can serve only their own spirits, so there is no wine or beer. The London steakhouse and cocktail-bar group, founded in 2006, has opened its third U.S. room inside the Eli Lilly research building on Necco Street, after New York and Chicago. The chain’s own description promises space for around 200 guests, views across the Fort Point Channel and a big outdoor terrace. | Local The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office announced the new charges against Mark Sullivan, 60, of Brockton, a Level 3 sex offender, covering about 15 children between the ages of 2 and 8. He was arrested at the Boston Common playground on Aug. 14, has been in custody since on $250,000 bail, and was due in Boston Municipal Court on Tuesday to be arraigned on the new counts.
